Funny and dumb. Perfect pandemic reading! I haven't been able to concentrate on a book in months and I actually finished this one! Relax and enjoy reading again.

Stephanie has her hands full with her job as a bail enforcement agent. But, added to her job duties now, is being the manager of a deli who's owner skipped town while on bond, so now Vinnie or rather Harry the Hammer Vinnie's father in law owns the deli. Kidnapping of various people from the deli makes sure Ranger is on hand to watch out for Stephanie and Lula her side kick. A drugged out rock star bond skip does not prove easy, nor does any of her skips really. Grandma Mazur does not show up until the end of the book on her way to a sexcation with her new boyfriend who might be a hitman for Harry. Stephanie is still with the cop Morelli, and he is involved in her kidnapping case eventually. Still some funny moments, the rooster attack on Lula, and Stephanie and Lula's attempts to cat wrangle are my favorites. Morelli's grandmother Bella shows up and threatens the evil eye on anyone who annoys her, which is always Stephanie. Weirdo Wulf shows up this book, I can take or leave him, I like Diesel better. I still enjoy the Stephanie Plum books, but don't read the other series or books by JE anymore as they do not appeal. I am firmly on team Ranger, and ship Steranger, and hope for some new development in their relationship.

Stephanie Plum is a fave - never disappoints

Silly but fun & a few laugh out loud moments. I hope she goes after Grandma in the next book.

Hard to read a book when all the main characters are trash and you don't really care what happens to any of them. Janet's mind is in the gutter. Will not bother to try any more of her stuff.

IMO the Stephanie Plum series has run its course. It was a slog to finish this book. It had none of the laugh-out loud moments of the earlier books and the story line was incredibly boring. Like some of the other reviewers, I don't care for the Diesel and Wulf characters...not my cup of tea. Also, to me this book read like a "I've got to write something to satisfy my contract" book. The series was great while it lasted, but this is it for me.

The Plum books are never meant to be high literature. They are exactly what they are meant to be: fast, fun and pretty mindless entertainment with characters we've come to know.

The premise of 'Look Alive Twenty-Five' is even wackier than usual but what stood out is what's missing: Stephanie's beleaguered Mom and her adorably crazy-wise Grandma.

I laughed with the ketchup/fryer scene. So Stephanie/Lulu.

It seems like the author is trying to make Stephanie less of a ditz and more of a competent professional. She's more detective than bounty hunter in this book. I missed Grandma, but she's there at the end. :)

For the most part I'm a fairly serious reader, but when there's a new "Stephanie adventure," whatever book I'm in the middle of gets chucked aside w/out hesitation!
There was one slight disappointment for me, and that is that Grandma Mazur isn't part of the story, but other than that, I give it 5 stars!

Unlike some of the earlier works in this series - there was a plot. But there was also some sadness. Stephanie P. - the heroine - is in love with 2 men. While both are there when she is in trouble, neither wants to get married. I missed her grandmother popping in and out.
