Blackout Poetry is a form of poetry where poets blackout, erase, or otherwise obscure sections of an original text to create a new poem.
The library will be exhibiting blackout poetry from community members for the month of April. Don't want to damage a book for the showcase? Feel free to use any media with text on it including newspapers, menus, and even emails! The library also has plenty of pages from damaged library books available for your blackout poetry.
To enter, submit your work with a signed submission form at our front desk before March 29th.
